[Fg-general] Support Volunteers!

Hello Free Geeks,

October has been a marvelous month so far. The Staff and Directors all got
together for a wonderful meet and greet over japanese twig tea and cinnamon
buns. We had a fun and motivating press conference. Hardware grants have
been flowing out the door to many great organizations. Kim, our newest build
instructor volunteer started building his 57th computer! Geoff, our build
instructor has been tirelessly improving the mezzanine. Patrick, our store
coordinator and George, our volunteer intern have been implementing some
great ideas in the store and warehouse. The list goes on!

I want to put a call out to

aspiring<http://wiki.freegeekvancouver.org/article/Support_Volunteer_Training>support
volunteers! Support volunteers help the staff to do their jobs more
effectively and generally make Free Geek an exponentially more productive
place.
Its been some time now since we've had a training session for support
volunteers, so I think it's time to have an evening of sharing, learning,
teaching and takeout food. I would love to hear your thoughts on what makes
for good support volunteers and help train some new folks. The proposed date
for this soiree is Thursday 12th November from 6.30pm to 9pm.
