Aaron:

Rest assured, there’s at least one person staying tuned in to your daily log. It’s the highlight of my morning, which, since I am in Newfoundland and you’re in California, means that you’ve just finished lunch while I am checking the fridge here in our office to see if there’s any breakfast items which don’t have fuzzy green stuff sprouting from them. If not, I feed the crows – they’re less discriminating and they don’t seem to mind retrieving food from a snow bank. I’m not sure where lies the car cure (perhaps a motorcycle might be a partial remedy) but your log is definitely a cure for morning lethargy. Dare I say, it’s a bit like when readers in New York would anxiously await the arrival by boat of the next Dicken’s installment to see what happened to Little Nell. What’s going to become of Aaron? Will he write a book about his adventures? Will he meet Willy Nelson? Will his book tour be on foot? It’s very open-ended.

You may recall that when you passed through Gander on your Newfoundland T’Railway trek, I was trying to regain my lost youth at a Stones concert while you finished up what was left of my mother’s apricot cake. Since I never got to meet you, I can still be gratified that you and my mother share that cake connection and that in some small way we boosted your energy requirements for a few kilometers. No dinosaur bones there.

Never doubt the power of the written word so keep writing. And I’ll keep reading. There is indeed humor everywhere.

All the best (from Betty and Tony too).
