2000

At the end of '99 I had met a girl named Christina who worked at a Value Village that I use to goto all the time. By the begining of 2000 we had been dating for a bit and it was not long till she moved in with me.

While Christina lived with me, I learned a lot about new(at least to me) music, Hello Kitty, and clothing. My fashion took a drastic turn after meeting Christina, and I would say for the good. I really don't have any pictures of my apartment at this time. The building was owned by my friend Sullivan's grandfather. I had been told that Jim Carey lived in the building at one point while he was going to Aldershot Highschool. I always wondered what apartment was his. Even before that, my apartment had been a doctors office. You opened the door and to left was a room, and to the right was a room and directly ahead was a bathroom. I will never forget how steep the steps were going up to that apartment, and I always wondered how sick people felt climbing them to see their doctor.

My friend Simeon was looking for a place to live. Things were not the best for him at that time and I offered him my kitchen to live in. It was, to date, the cheapest rent I ever paid. Between the three of us we each paid $125. Sure it was a bit cramped but oddly it worked.

I became interested in mountain biking, and would go out on many rides with Simeon and a mutal friend Langly. It was my first time geting into a sport, and being on a bike again was great. We explored alot of the Escarpment and areas North of Highway 5. Somewhere I have a stellar picture of me falling off a bike that I will have to dig up sometime.

2000 was a fairly low key year. Not much happened, but the usual things that life brings. By the end of the year Christina and I had split up.

Nothing could prepare me for what the next year had in store.
